walker is 2

our sweet walker rose is 2.

she is cherished.  she is sweet.  she loves to dance.  she loves to spin and jump.  she loves to find W's in books.  she chooses to wear her cowboy boots most days.  her favorite spot is cuddled up in her sister's bed.  she loves to karate fight with her brother.  she would eat olives all day long.  she knows its funny if she calls me "betsy."  she loves babies.  and dogs.  

she is our precious daughter and we are so glad to celebrate her birth!

halloween

since having kids, i have loved halloween.  it is a holiday when neighbors walk around the neighborhood.  when we knock on doors and open them with a smile.  halloween shouldn't be just once a year.  we should be OUT and neighborly more often.

river is 5.

the boy who made me a mama.  so tender.  so easy-going.  makes a friend wherever we go.  karate fights with his little sisters and lets them knock him down.  has always been my early bird.  still loves curious george.  begged to go to church this morning.  loves routine.  loves to wrestle his daddy and cuddle his mama.  we love this brave son of ours.

 i love these next few photos.  the girls were jumping up and down cheering for him.  so sweet.

everyday life that i dont want to forget

my wedding dress is hanging up in my kitchen.

repeatedly flora has asked me if i will put it on.  i say no.

i finally said YES.  i want to say YES to her little requests that mean BIG things to her.

 why is the pantry a fun place to play?

there will be a day much too soon, when they are all too big to fit in there at the same time.
